August Festivals and Must-See Events in Central Texas

Round Rock Summer Arts Fest
When: Friday, August 7-Sunday, August 9, 2026

At the Round Rock Summer Arts Fest, you'll be able to browse and shop for fine arts and crafts and talk with the creators, some of whom will also demonstrate how they create their work. Interactive arts experiences are also included in the fun, along with highlights including the following:
- 30 bands and dance performances
- Food and beverage vendors
- Aerialists
- Face painting and balloons
Admission to the festival is free.
Art in the Park

If you're a fan of art and/or gardening, Art in the Park, presented by Urban Expressions and Urban REAP, is a wonderful way to spend part of the morning in late August. You'll be able to connect with other art and gardening enthusiasts and have fun completing art activities for all ages. Tickets for the event are $15 for adults and $10 for kids, and all funds from the event will go toward the children's art program.
Flavors of Central Texas

Flavors of Central Texas, located near Killeen homes for sale, is a culinary experience you won't want to miss! You'll be able to sample some of the region's diverse and delicious foods, including the following:

Wristbands that allow you to get free samples cost $25 for adults and $15 for ages 11-17. Kids 10 and under are free.
"Dear Evan Hansen"

The Central Texas premiere of "Dear Evan Hansen", a Tony Award-winner for best musical as well as a popular book, is funny as well as heartbreaking. The title character is a teenager who is pulled into a tragedy due to a misunderstanding and is suddenly offered the chance to belong. He doesn't know how to stop the growing lie that affects parents, classmates, and the community around him, making for a moving, emotionally layered story. Tickets start at $30.
