Where to Enjoy Live Music in Waco This Summer | Kelly, Realtors

Whether you're enjoying a concert on the grass or supporting local bands on a stage downtown, nothing says summer like live music. There are all sorts of bands playing live this summer near Waco homes for sale, and plenty of places to go hear them. Here are a few we're looking forward to.

Waco Summer Music and Entertainment

Waco Downtown Farmers Market - Waco, TX

200 E. Bridge Street, Waco, TX 76704

More than just a place for fresh produce, Waco Downtown Farmers Market is a whole event. In addition to live music by local bands, they host artist showcases, food tastings, and regular wellness activities, including:

  • Yoga
  • Pilates
  • Dance

Running Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. year-round, in summer, they also add Wednesday evenings from 5-8 p.m. at the Bridge Street Plaza. Pets are welcome as well, provided they remain on a leash. Bring a picnic blanket, grab lunch or dinner from one of the many local food vendors, and enjoy a fun family outing.

Anthem STORIES - Waco, TX

Anthem STORIES is an event space for everything from small parties to galas. They also host a music night every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Hear a variety of local Waco bands, while enjoying Brunch for Dinner: an amazing farm-to-table brunch menu that includes mimosas and craft cocktailsConcerts and other music events are also held at the venue periodically. Texas Music Cafe - Waco, TX

Supporting local music and helping unknown artists to get heard is the mission of Texas Music Cafe. They host musicians of all different styles and genres, including:

  • Gospel and soul
  • Country and Americana
  • Latin funk

Plus, they have regular open mic nights and songwriter showcases. Check the schedule to see the lineup, or just come hear it for yourself. They have a long tradition of great quality music that's worth coming back to again and again.

Brazos Nights - Waco, TX

101 N University Park Dr., Waco, TX 76701

Head to Indian Spring Park on June 19th for Brazos Nights, Waco's summer outdoor concert series. Come at 6 p.m. to stake out your spot and mingle with others in the community. Then at 7:30 p.m., hear the funk and soul stylings of The Zapp Band, followed by rapper MC Lyte at 9 p.m. The event is free, with food trucks and other vendors around for dinner, snacks, souvenirs, and more. It's an incredible evening of music on the waterfront, right by the Waco Suspension Bridge.

Fourth on the Brazos - Waco, TX

1001 S M.L.K. Jr. Blvd., Waco, TX 76704

It's not the Fourth of July without music and fireworks, which is why you'll want to head to Touchdown Alley for Fourth on Brazos. Held next to Baylor's McClane Stadium, starting at 6 p.m., the event will feature live music throughout the evening, including a Patriotic Ceremony by the Waco Community BandThen, at 9:15 p.m., is the H-E-B Fireworks Extravaganza, which can be seen from either side of the Brazos River. The event is free for all, including a number of free parking lots nearby, such as:

  • McClane Stadium
  • Ferrell Center
  • Texas Ranger Hall of Fame

There will also be a host of food vendors and other booths around the area. There's no better place in Waco to celebrate the Fourth.
